Busy time for Kim Nain
Singer-songwriter Kim Nain is not slowing down.
From her November 2018 album, Deal Wid It, to the crowd favourite Marijuana, and her latest duo with Naomi Cowan, Need Me, she has kept the momentum going.
Her newest hit single, Private Room, was released last Friday and is already turning heads.
The music is a fusion of R&B, Afrobeats and dancehall. Nain also wrote the song.
But she is also featured on the My Paradise rhythm with the song, I Am Woman. It is an empowerment song which aims to uplift women of all backgrounds.
"This reggae song was written from a place within me that felt the need to build the confidence of all the other women out there, just so that they'll know they are worth much more than they know. I face many down days, and I just want other ladies out there to know that it's OK to cry, but don't forget to get up," said Nain.
The rebranded Nain is taking charge in the music industry as a new EP, TEMPO, produced by Frankie Music Productions to be released soon.
Last week was busy for Nain. She gave an excellent rendition of her songs at the Essence Reggae Festival at the Police Officers Club on Sunday, February 2.
She was an ambassador for the Marley 75th celebration and hit the stage at the Bob Marley Museum on the icon's birthday, February 6.
She ended the week at The Apollo Series, staged at The Haven, on Saturday, February 8, where she thrilled the audience with a mix of an acoustic performance and tracks.
